Program Goal

The goals of the Raleigh CD-CP program are to facilitate feelings of safety for children and families, and to provide early intervention and assistance for children within our district who are exposed to violence or trauma.

Program Overview

Replication training was held in Raleigh in March 2004, and the program is now in the early stages of implementation. Police officers and clinicians are currently engaged in training. At this time the Raleigh CDCP is being conducted in one of the City’s six police districts--District 23. No staff members are currently dedicated to the program on a full-time basis, but program activities are being incorporated into existing positions within the partnering agencies.
